The team has secured two medals for the state in badminton by making it to the semi-finals. Uttarakhand’s women’s team defeated Gujarat 3-2 in the first encounter. In the second encounter, they defeated Karnataka 3-2 and reached the semi-finals and secured Uttarakhand’s first medal for badminton. Uttarakhand’s men’s team defeated Karnataka’s strong team 3-1 and made it to the semi-finals and also secured Uttarakhand’s second medal. In the team match between Uttarakhand and Gujarat held at the Multipurpose Hall at Parade Ground, Aditi Bhatt defeated Gujarat’s Adita Rai 22-20 and 21-18. Gujarat’s Tasneem Mir defeated Uttarakhand’s Akshita Manral 21-12, 13-21 and 23-21. Shreya Lele of Gujarat defeated Unnati Bisht of Uttarakhand by 21-10 and 21-9.
Uttarakhand team remained ahead
The pair of two sisters from Almora, Gayatri Rawat and Mansa Rawat defeated the pair of Senan Christian and Adita Rao of Gujarat by 21-16 and 21-19. Similarly, the pair of Aditi Bhatt and Angel Puneda of Uttarakhand defeated the pair of Shreya Lele and Tasneem Mir of Gujarat by 21-19 and 21-14. Uttarakhand remained ahead in the team with a score of 3-2.
The second match was with Karnataka
The second match of the women’s team of Uttarakhand was with Karnataka. Sneha S of Karnataka defeated Sneha Rajwar of Uttarakhand by sets of 18-21, 21-11 and 21-9. At the same time, Aditi Bisht of Uttarakhand defeated Ayushi Bhatt of Karnataka by 21-8 and 21-15. Akshita Manral of Uttarakhand defeated Shikha Gautam of Karnataka 21-10 and 21-9. Similarly, the pair of Aditi Bhatt and Angel Puneda of Uttarakhand defeated Deepak Raj Aditi and Ponnam BV Vriddhi of Karnataka by 21-11 and 21-9 sets. Chirag Sen of Uttarakhand defeated Bhargav S of Karnataka by 21-18 and 22-20. Dhruv Negi of Uttarakhand defeated Naren Iyer of Karnataka by 19-21, 21-19 and 21-13. On the other hand, Karnataka’s Nithin HV and Asith Surya defeated Uttarakhand’s Chaitin Joshi and Dhruv Rawat 17-21, 21-19 and 21-17. Uttarakhand’s men’s team defeated Karnataka 3-1 to reach the semi-finals. Meanwhile, in the match between Arunachal Pradesh and Rajasthan’s men’s teams, Rajasthan defeated Arunachal Pradesh 4-1. Arunachal’s Tukum La defeated Rajasthan’s Sanskar Rawat 16-21, 23-21 and 21-15.

While the pair of Mohammad Aman and Sanskar Saraswat of Rajasthan defeated the pair of Choidrup Lobsang and Lobsang Choiden Sherdang of Arunachal Pradesh 21-19 and 21-15.
