Uttarakhand: Youth disappointed with new recruitment calendar of Public Service Commission; 16 lecturer exams to be held in a year
The new recruitment calendar released by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has left many aspirants disappointed. According to the calendar, the commission will conduct 16 lecturer (Pravakta) examinations over the year. However, there is no clear mention of major recruitments such as PCS, Lower PCS, Review Officer, Assistant Review Officer, AE, and JE.
The calendar lists a total of 22 recruitments scheduled between April 21 and December 6. Out of these, 16 are lecturer examinations, indicating that recruitment for Government Inter Colleges will be the commission’s primary focus this year. The PCS-J main examination is scheduled from April 21 to 24, followed by the PCS main examination from April 27 to 30. However, there is no mention of new notifications for PCS, Lower PCS, or PCS-J.
Similarly, there is no information regarding long-awaited recruitments like Review Officer, Assistant Review Officer, AE, and JE, which has raised concerns among candidates.

Apart from this, the Review Officer (Accounts) Examination 2024 will be held on May 19, and the High Court Review Officer/Typist/Librarian screening exam is scheduled for July 19.
The commission has also kept two dates—September 6 and October 4—reserved for examinations to be announced later. This uncertainty has further increased concerns among aspirants.
