In view of the red and orange alert issued by the Meteorological Department for most of the districts of the state for the next few days, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the government and district level officials to take extra precautions and remain on alert 24 hours a day. During this, he said that due to excessive rainfall, the state continues to face challenges and according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the coming few days are going to be challenging. He directed all the officers to take appropriate steps for the safety of the common citizens.
Precautionary steps should be taken
Special vigilance should be taken in the routes in view of landslides and all precautionary steps should be taken in view of the possibility of waterlogging in the plains. He directed Secretary Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Shvinod Kumar Suman to keep an eye on every situation from the State Emergency Operations Center. On Sunday, the Chief Minister held a virtual meeting with the officials of the government and the district and took stock of the relief and rescue operations and gave necessary guidelines. The Chief Minister said that the government stands firmly with those who have become homeless in disasters and efforts are being made at every level for their best possible rehabilitation. He directed both the divisional commissioners to work quickly for the rehabilitation of the disaster-affected people and also work on the options for rehabilitation in the plain districts. The Chief Minister said that in this difficult time of disaster, we deeply understand the pain of all the affected brothers and sisters. The state government is not limited to only financial assistance, but we are also connected with their feelings and sensitivities. He also expected the officials to consider their grief as their own and work with full dedication for their rehabilitation and to make their life normal.
