
Monsoon rains continue to be a disaster in Uttarakhand. More than 190 routes, including the Chardham Highway, have been badly affected by the torrential rains since three days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at some places in eight districts of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital, Bageshwar, Champawat and Udhamsinghnagar.

The Rishikesh-Gangotri highway is blocked at Bagadhar near Narendranagar in Tehri due to heavy debris. In view of the weather pattern, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding very heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places in eight districts of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital, Bageshwar, Champawat and Udhamsinghnagar.
