The weather has changed again in Uttarakhand. Clouds have started hovering from the mountains to the plains. The sun and clouds continued to interact throughout the day in Doon. Due to which a slight drop was also recorded in the maximum temperature. The Meteorological Department has predicted light snowfall on the peaks today. There may be light rainfall in the surrounding area. Due to which there are chances of fall in mercury. For the past few days, the weather in the state remained dry and the temperature was increasing rapidly due to bright sunshine. After which the weather pattern started changing on Monday. The light breeze along with the winking of the clouds increased the chill. The maximum temperature in Doon recorded a drop of three degrees Celsius within 24 hours.
However, the minimum temperature remains normal. According to Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center, the weather may remain changeable in the state today. With partly cloudy sky in the hilly areas, light snowfall may occur at altitudes above 3500 meters in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. There are also chances of light rain at some places.
