The weather has changed in Uttarakhand. Clouds are hovering from the mountains to the plains. Showers and hailstorm occurred at isolated places in Dehradun and Uttarkashi. Whereas, rainfall was recorded in many areas of Kumaon. There was a cloud cover in Doon since morning, there was relief from humidity due to blowing wind in the afternoon. According to Bikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center, the weather patterns in the state may remain changeable for the next three days. It is expected to be partly to mainly cloudy in most areas. Due to which there may be rain with thunder in the mountainous areas. There is a possibility of hailstorm at isolated places in low-lying areas. A warning has been issued regarding thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in the plains.
Light showers also occurred in the outer areas of Dehradun on Wednesday. However, despite clouds hovering in the afternoon, there was no rain and humidity was felt. There was relief from the heat due to light winds in the evening. Clouds continued to hover in the surrounding areas as well. There was no rain in Mussoorie and surrounding areas till late evening. Hailstorm has also been reported at some places in low-lying areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cloud cover in most areas of the state today. There may be light showers as well as hailstorm in Dehradun and surrounding areas. At some places, warnings have been issued regarding lightning.
