BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has clarified that if Anukriti Gusai is found guilty in the ED investigation, she will be expelled from the party. Former Miss India International Anukriti had taken membership of BJP a day earlier. She is the daughter-in-law of former Forest Minister Dr Harak Singh Rawat, who is facing ED investigation in the Pakhro Tiger Safari case. Some time ago, ED had interrogated Dr. Rawat and his family members. BJP state president Bhatt said that ED is an investigating agency. If anyone is found guilty in its investigation, he cannot remain in the party. He said that as far as Anukriti Gusain is concerned, she had left Congress before joining BJP. She has contested the assembly elections from Lansdowne seat.
Recently Anukriti had appealed in favor of BJP. It has already been made clear to Anukriti that if she is found guilty in the ED investigation, she will be forced to be removed from the party. Bhatt said that ultimately the decision rests with the court. Until the decision comes in this form, it was not appropriate to consider someone guilty under suspicion and not give him membership of the party.
no proposal at all
On the question whether former minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat is also joining BJP, Bhatt said that the expulsion of Harak Singh Rawat was done by the central leadership of the party. No proposal related to joining BJP has been received from Harak Singh. Even if it comes, it will be sent to the central leadership only. Its decision will be taken by the central leadership. He said that this is not a state subject nor can he take any decision in this regard.
MLA Dilip Rawat’s post was also in discussion
After Anukriti Gusain joined BJP, the post made by BJP MLA from Lansdowne seat Mahant Dilip Rawat in the internet media remained in discussion. Anukriti had contested the last assembly elections against Dilip Rawat on Congress ticket. MLA Dilip Rawat had written in his post, Ram, your Ganga has become dirty…. Now will Namami Gange scheme be started here also? In political circles, this is being seen as his displeasure over Anukriti’s inclusion in BJP. However, Rawat says that he had made this post in relation to Sukhro river.
