The government is now going to bring a women’s policy for the social, economic and political empowerment of the mother power here, who played an important role in the formation of Uttarakhand state and then its development. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also announced that this policy will be notified soon. Meanwhile, the government has finalized the draft of the women’s policy and sent the proposal related to it to the Chief Minister’s Office. Now it will be proposed in the upcoming cabinet meeting. After this, this policy will be dedicated to the women of the state soon.
Dhami government bringing women’s policy
After schemes like Uniform Civil Code, 30 percent horizontal reservation for women in state services, reservation for women in local urban and rural bodies as well as cooperative institutions, Lakhpati Didi to empower the economy of women in rural areas, now the government is bringing a women’s policy. Recently, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya to finalize the draft of the women’s policy prepared by the State Women’s Commission. Then it was targeted that this policy should be dedicated to women on the State Foundation Day, but it could not happen. However, on the State Foundation Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami did announce that the women’s policy would be notified soon. Sources said that the cabinet has to approve the women’s policy, but due to other reasons including the recent bus accident in Almora, the cabinet meeting could not be held. Now the government has sent the proposal related to the women’s policy to the Chief Minister’s Office, on which deliberations are going on. Sources said that this proposal will be placed in the upcoming cabinet meeting. If the cabinet suggests any other points, they will be included in it. The cabinet has to decide when the policy will be implemented.
