The government, which is making efforts to invite capital investment in the state, has big expectations from the immigrant Uttarakhandis. Even before the Global Investors Conference to be held in December, a six-member special cell has been formed in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Radha Raturi. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced the formation of a cell for immigrants in the immigrant conference before the road show in London on September 25 last month. In accordance with this announcement, the government issued orders for the formation of a special cell in less than a month.
Information Technology Secretary made coordinator of the committee
Additional Director General of Police Information Abhinav Kumar, Planning Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Industrial Development Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey and retired Industries Director Sudhir Nautiyal are included as members. Information Technology Secretary Shailesh Bagoli has been made the coordinator of the committee.
Suggestions should be taken from immigrants for the development of the state
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that the main objective of this cell is to help the non-resident Uttarakhandis living abroad or outside the state by establishing coordination with them. Along with this, suggestions and cooperation will also be taken from them in the development of the state.
