
ISKCON India Chairman and senior monk Gopal Krishna Goswami passed away on Sunday morning. He was 80 years old. On April 30, he came from Delhi to Dudhli, Dehradun for the Bhoomi Pujan of Sri Sri Radha Banke Bihari Temple. Here he slipped and fell. After this he was admitted to Synergy Hospital. Where he breathed his last. His mortal remains will be given samadhi in Vrindavan on Monday. There is a wave of mourning among the devotees due to the news of his demise. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also expressed grief over the demise.
Goswami Maharaj had come to do Bhoomi Pujan of the temple in Dudhli.
ISKCON Dehradun Coordinator Jagdish Hari Prabhu told that Gopal Krishna Goswami had reached the Bhoomi Pujan program of the temple in Dudhli on May 1. On Thursday, he suddenly slipped and fell in the toilet here. He was admitted to Synergy Hospital. Where he was undergoing treatment for three days. He breathed his last at 9.15 am on Sunday morning due to heart disease. After noon, the body was kept for darshan in the temple located in East of Kailash, Delhi. Today his mortal remains will be taken to Vrindavan.
Had a heart attack in the hospital
ISKCON Dehradun President Param Karuna Madhav Das told that he suffered a heart attack after being admitted to the hospital. Due to which his condition worsened. The Chief Minister expressed his condolence through X and described the demise of Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj as an irreparable loss for the spiritual world and the saint society.

Born in Delhi in the year 1944, Gopal Krishna Goswami was awarded two scholarships to study at Sorbonne University, France and McGill University, Canada.
After meeting his guru and ISKCON founder Acharya Srila Prabhupada in Canada in 1968, he dedicated himself to sharing the teachings of Sri Krishna and Sanatan Dharma with the world for the peace and well-being of all.
