BJP, which is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections, has now decided to strengthen its roots there by focusing on the villages. In this series, the outline of the party’s “Gaon Chalo” campaign, which will start from the end of next month or the first week of February, is being finalized. Under this, the Chief Minister, Minister, MLA, MP and party officials will visit each village and stay there for 24 hours. Booth level meetings will also be held during this period. The aim of this campaign is to win the booths which the party has lost in the previous elections and to increase the votes in those which it has won by 10 percent as compared to the last time.
If we look at the electoral scenario of Uttarakhand, the path of BJP has been smooth since the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. From then till the last assembly elections, it has been hoisting its flag in all the elections. Now the challenge is to maintain this performance in the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year.
BJP rule since 2014
Since 2014, BJP has been ruling all the Lok Sabha seats here under one umbrella and now it faces the challenge of scoring a hat-trick. Accordingly, the party has started implementing its election strategy. In this context, the party has made the outline of the Gaon Chalo campaign. It can be started any time after January 22. The party’s intention behind this is booth empowerment. In the elections till now, BJP has touched the heights of success by following the basic mantra of “Win the booth, win the election”. All party leaders will participate in the Gaon Chalo campaign. He will go from village to village and contact every house to inform the common people about the party’s customs and policies as well as the achievements and welfare schemes of the central and state governments.
All the party leaders will stay in the village for at least a day and hold meetings with Panna chiefs, party people as well as the common people. After knowing the problems of the villagers, they will also get them resolved. Not only this, more and more people will be associated with the party. Partisans will be deployed on the front with the message that their five months of hard work will decide the future of the country for 50 years.
