
Finally, the power put in the last quarter of the financial year 2024-25 and then in the last month of March worked. The state spent more than 10 thousand crores in capital works related to development and construction works for the second consecutive financial year. The amount spent this year crossed 11 thousand crores. After the pace of budget expenditure remained slow for the first three months due to the code of conduct of the Lok Sabha elections and then for the next three months i.e. some six months due to the rainy season, the utilisation of the budget in capital works increased. According to the government data received from various sources on the last day of the last month of the financial year 2024-25 i.e. Monday, the total budget expenditure this year is likely to be 66 thousand crores. In this, more than Rs 50 thousand crore has been spent in the revenue head and more than 15 thousand crores in the capital head. In the last financial year, this amount was Rs 62,490 crore. More than six percent of the budget expenditure is expected to be spent as compared to last year. 50 thousand crores spent in revenue head
Under the capital head, the capital outlay includes 11 thousand crores along with an amount of about 4360 crores for the payment of loans. The capital outlay in the year 2019-20 was Rs 5414 crore, which increased to Rs 10982 crore in the year 2023-24. In the year 2024-25, it increased to more than 11 thousand crores. The government has succeeded in spending this amount more in two consecutive years. According to the data received from the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS), the revenue expenditure reached 45,500 crores in the year 2024-25. Adding the payment of interest to this, this amount is going to be Rs 50 thousand crores.
Revenue receipt 20680 crores
With the increase in budget expenditure, the income resources of the state have also increased. In the year 2024-25, the revenue receipt has increased to Rs 20,680 crore. It has increased by seven percent from last year. So far, Rs 9256 crore has been received in SGST, Rs 2635 crore in stamp and registration fees, Rs 4310 crore from excise, Rs 1035 crore from mining and Rs 574 crore from forest. There has been a big increase in the income from all these items as compared to last year. The state’s share in central taxes increased by 14 percent from last year to Rs 14386 crore.
