On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored the investors with a memento and a citation during the Uttarakhand Investor Award ceremony held at the Chief Sevak Sadan at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that investors have given a new dimension to the state in the field of industry. The contribution of the people associated with the industrial sector is invaluable in increasing the economy and revenue of the state. You all are our brand ambassadors. Uttarakhand is the land of Yoga, Spirituality and Ayush. Uttarakhand is moving fast towards industrial development. As the environment for industries is in Uttarakhand, it attracts investors to Uttarakhand. From January, 2020 till now, production has started in 15 thousand crore projects in the state. Despite the coming of an epidemic like Corona, it is definitely a big achievement to have so much investment in the state. A lot of work has been done in the direction of infrastructure, policy reform and simplification.
The Chief Minister said that the country is getting a new identity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India has become prosperous and powerful in these eight years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special attachment to Uttarakhand, the result of which you are all seeing. He said that it is necessary for industries to have good road, rail and air connectivity, work is being done at a fast pace in these areas in the state.
The Chief Minister thanked the investors for showing faith in the ability, dedication, hard work and understanding of the youth of Uttarakhand and said that the projects which have been taken up will create new possibilities in the state and prove to be a milestone in the economic development of the state. He assured the investors and industrialists saying that the state government works for policy, decisions and development with a positive aim. Industries Minister Chandan Ram Das said that when the state of Uttarakhand was established, it was everyone’s imagination that the water and youth of the mountain would come in handy. This could have been possible only when the industries in Uttarakhand were promoted rapidly. In 2018, the Investor Summit was organized under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which also saw successful results. Small industries will have to be promoted in the hilly areas of the state.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the state of Uttarakhand is fast developing as a major destination for investment. The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector can generate more production and employment with less capital investment. The state is moving forward in the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s self-reliant India.
Secretary Industries Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey in his address congratulated the investors and called upon them to expand their industries in the state in future. He said that the government is implementing new policies and is actively working towards the Prime Minister’s vision of creating a national speed power plan.

After the Investors Summit, the MoU of 35 thousand crores implemented on the ground:
The state had organized its first ‘Investment Summit’ Destination Uttarakhand in 2018, in which MoUs/Investment willingness letters worth more than one lakh twenty four thousand crores were signed by more than 600 investors across several sectors. The implementation of the signed MoUs was regularly monitored. As a result Rs. MoUs of more than 35 thousand crores implemented on the ground. These projects are in various sectors, including manufacturing, food processing, healthcare, tourism and energy sectors.
In the award ceremony organized by the state government, such investors were honored who started their production work after 2020. 68 investors were invited to the event, which included investors from both the MSME and large scale sectors. At the event, investors shared their experiences and appreciated the ease of doing business in the state. He also appreciated the friendly calm atmosphere for investment in Uttarakhand. On this occasion the investors said that they are excited to invest more in Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna, Commissioner Industries Rohit Meena and Director Industries S. C. Nautiyal, R.J. Poetry, prominent entrepreneurs and departmental officers were present.
