Uttarakhand: Voting on vacant posts of Panchayats on October 5, code of conduct implemented, read the complete program here. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on September 22. Withdrawal of nominations can be done on September 23 from 10 am to 3 pm. The allocation of election symbols will be done on 24th September. Whereas, voting will take place on October 5. The counting of votes will take place on October 7. The election schedule has been announced with the release of the notification for the three-tier Panchayat by-election. Voting will be held on October 5 for the vacant posts of Gram Panchayat member, Gram Pradhan, Member Area Panchayat and Member District Panchayat.
The code of conduct has been implemented in the concerned areas from the date of issue of notification till the end of counting of votes. District Election Officer Sonika said that nomination papers will be submitted on 20th and 21st September. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on September 22. Withdrawal of nominations can be done on September 23 from 10 am to 3 pm.

The District Magistrate has appointed returning and assistant returning officers. The District Magistrate directed the officials that the process of sale, deposit, scrutiny, withdrawal of nominations and allotment of symbol for the elections should be completed at the block headquarters.
