Cyber thugs cheated a woman of Rs 5 lakh 40 thousand by luring her with a part-time job. Gunjan Bhatia, resident of Rajeshwar Nagar Rajpur, told that on November 7, 2023, she received a message on WhatsApp, in which part job was mentioned. The unknown person promised to earn Rs 2500 to Rs 5000 per day and told about rating mobile apps. Added them to Telegram app. To start a job, he was asked to invest Rs 10 thousand in an app, in return he got Rs 17 thousand. After this, on November 8, he was again asked to deposit Rs 15,000, instead of which Rs 34,000 was returned.
After this, the swindlers asked him to deposit a huge amount and deposited Rs 40 thousand in one go, Rs 1 lakh 24 thousand in the second time and after luring him, he got them to deposit Rs 5 lakh 40 thousand.
Even after this, the swindlers started talking about depositing the money, but when they got suspicious, they did not deposit the money. After this the thug locked him out of the Telegram app. In this case, a case has been registered against unknown person in Rajpur police station.
