In Uttarakhand, by 2025, 1.25 lakh didis will become lakhpati, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will launch the scheme

admin October 31, 2022

In Uttarakhand, the government is going to give gifts to the women associated with self-help groups on the occasion of state foundation day. In this episode, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will launch the ‘Mukhyamantri Lakhpati Didi’ scheme on the Igas festival on November 4.

Target to make 1.25 lakh women millionaires:
Under the scheme, the target is to make 1.25 lakh women millionaires by the year 2025. For this, they will be provided with the facility of credit, technical guidance, training, marketing of products.
This information was given in a departmental review meeting chaired by Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi. Joshi directed the officers to ensure timely implementation of various schemes related to rural development.

A large number of women self-help groups have been formed under the Rural Development Department for the purpose of providing self-employment to women. The number of women associated with them is 3.67 lakh. These groups are producing a variety of products based on local resources. The economy of women is improved by the sale of products.

Survey being conducted on the economic status of women:
Meanwhile, a survey is also being conducted regarding the economic status of women belonging to women self-help groups. So far it has come to the notice that the annual income of 23 thousand women belonging to the groups is more than one lakh rupees. After the completion of the survey, this figure is expected to reach 35 thousand. In view of all this, the government has decided to launch Mukhyamantri Lakhpati Didi Yojana.
Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi reviewed this scheme and other departmental schemes in a meeting with the officials. After the meeting, Cabinet Minister Joshi told that the target of the government is that in the year 2025, when Uttarakhand completes 25 years of its establishment, by then 1.25 lakh women belonging to self-help groups should also become lakhpatis. Steps are being taken in this direction.

This is how women will become millionaires:
Under the Mukhyamantri Lakhpati Didi Yojana, women belonging to those women’s self-help groups will be selected, whose annual income is very low. Loans will be distributed to such groups in the block level camps next month.
In addition, technical knowledge and training will be provided to the groups to make their products in line with the market demand. The focus will also be on the marketing of the products. The sale of the products of these groups will be ensured on priority basis in the fairs organized at various places besides departmental outlets.

Will give housing to the beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana:
Cabinet Minister Joshi said that on the occasion of the launch of Lakhpati Didi Yojana on November 4, houses will also be provided to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). Along with this, appointment letters will be given to the beneficiaries of skill development scheme. Secretary Rural Development Dr BVRC Purushottam, Additional Secretary Anand Swaroop, Nitika Khandelwal and other officers were present in the meeting.
