In such a situation, the Uttarakhand government has announced that liquor shops across the state will be closed on January 22. Uttarakhand Excise Commissioner on Friday directed the district administration that the consecration ceremony will take place in the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, in view of which it has been decided that all the liquor shops, bars and departmental stores etc. in the city will remain closed on January 22. .
Vedic rituals start from 16 January
Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony will be held in Ayodhya on January 22. However, the Vedic rituals for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lala will begin a week before the main ceremony, i.e. on January 16.
Instructions issued in Uttar Pradesh also
Earlier on January 11, the Excise Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh had directed the district administration of the state to ensure that all liquor shops in the state remain closed on January 22. For this, instructions have been issued to all the District Magistrates.
UP Excise Commissioner had issued notice
A notice was issued by the UP Excise Commissioner, in which it was written that you are aware that on 22 January 2024, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony will take place in the Ram temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. In view of the above, it has been decided that all liquor shops in the state will remain closed on 22 January. The licensee will not be entitled to any compensation or claim for closure. Please ensure compliance accordingly.
