Monsoon departed from Uttarakhand on Wednesday. However, for the last few days, the weather has remained dry in most parts of the state, but the monsoon line has now formally returned from Uttarakhand. This time there was normal rainfall in the monsoon season, although there was excessive rain in some districts. For the last three years, the monsoon has departed from Uttarakhand in the first week of October. Now the weather is expected to remain dry in the state for the next few days.
Monsoon departed with the beginning of October
After one and a half times more rain than normal in September, the monsoon departed with the beginning of October. For the last few days, the weather in the state remained dry, but partial clouds were also hovering at some places. This time the monsoon knocked in Uttarakhand on 27 June. After which the process of rain intensified. However, in June, 49 percent less rainfall than normal was recorded throughout the month, but after the arrival of monsoon, the clouds rained 20 percent more than normal in July. After this, in August, there was only 09 percent more rainfall than normal. At the same time, in September, heavy rains continued in most parts of the state. There was 55 percent more rainfall than normal in the entire month. In the entire season, the highest rainfall was recorded in Bageshwar district of the state and the lowest in Pauri. Along with this, so far in the monsoon season, 1273 mm of rainfall has been recorded as compared to the normal rainfall of 1163 mm. Which is about 10 percent more than normal.
Last year, the monsoon departed from Uttarakhand on October 6. At the same time, in the year 2022, the monsoon departed in the second week of October. In the year 2021 and 2020, the monsoon departed in the first week of October. Now according to the Director of Meteorological Center, Bikram Singh, the weather is expected to remain dry in the state for the next few days. There may be bright sunshine in most areas, but there is a possibility of a drop in mercury in the morning and evening.
