They can also choose its date and time online. Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the state in the first phase. Its notification will be issued on Wednesday. The nomination process will continue from 11 am to 3 pm on all days except public holidays.
Last date for withdrawal of nomination is 30 March
A list of documents to be provided by the candidates has been made. This includes Form A, Form B, Affidavit, Proof of Deposit of Security. Joint Chief Electoral Officer Namami Bansal said that public notices for nominations will be pasted at RO headquarters in all parliamentary constituencies on Wednesday. The last date for nomination is March 27, while the last date for withdrawal of nomination is March 30. Voting will take place on April 19. During enrolment, not more than three vehicles will be allowed within the radius of 100 meters of RO Headquarters. In this sequence, complete security preparations have been made in every RO headquarters. Nomination for Garhwal parliamentary seat will be done in Pauri, Tehri Garhwal parliamentary seat in Dehradun, Haridwar for Haridwar parliamentary seat, Almora for Almora parliamentary seat and nomination for Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar in Rudrapur.
Congress announced candidates for three member seats
BJP has declared its candidates for all five parliamentary seats, while Congress has declared its candidates for three-member seats Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal and Almora. While BJP is going among the public about development and achievements of its government in the last 10 years, Congress is making inflation and unemployment an election issue.
Dates for nomination of BJP candidates decided
BJP has fixed the dates for filing nomination papers of the candidates. The dates were finalized in the meeting of the BJP provincial leadership with the party candidates. Nominations will take place between March 22 and 27. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other leaders will be present on the occasion of nomination of all the candidates. Union Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani is also likely to be present during the nomination of candidate Anil Baluni from Garhwal parliamentary seat in Pauri. BJP’s provincial election management team held separate meetings with the first three candidates and then with all five candidates late on Monday night. In these, the dates for filing nomination papers were finalized keeping in view the opinion and convenience of the candidates. According to BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, Ajay Tamta, candidate from Almora seat, will file nomination papers on March 22. On the same day, the candidate from Haridwar, Trivendra Singh Rawat, will file his nomination papers online from Roorkee and then on March 23, he will also file his nomination papers offline.
Anil Baluni, candidate from Garhwal parliamentary seat and Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah, candidate from Tehri Garhwal, will file nomination papers on March 26. Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar candidate Ajay Bhatt has been scheduled to file nomination papers on March 27. It was told that the provincial leadership will soon be informed about the time for submitting nomination papers on behalf of the candidates. This will be done in such a way that the Chief Minister or other leaders do not face any problem in reaching the occasion of nomination of candidates.
Will travel to assembly constituencies
According to sources, the party candidates have been asked to ensure their travel or tour programs for the 14 assembly constituencies falling under their respective parliamentary seats. During the visit, not only the public but also the workers of the area have been asked to maintain constant communication. Not only this, they have also been asked to mark sensitive polling stations in their respective parliamentary constituencies.
