He returned to Uttarakhand only a few days after moving to Delhi in the past and even at this stage of his age, he has been surprising everyone inside and outside the party with his activism in the politics of the state. His activism is being linked to the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024.
Harda spent a few days in Delhi:
The Congress had not recovered from the pain of being defeated for the second consecutive time in the assembly elections that the party had to bear the brunt of the defeat in the Champawat by-election and then in the three-tier panchayat elections in Haridwar. With this, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat once again came under fire from his opponents within the party.
Distressed by this, Harish Rawat i.e. Harda surprised everyone by announcing that he would move to Delhi. According to the announcement, Harda spent a few days in Delhi. Mallikarjun Kharge has made him a part of his political committee after becoming the national president. It is a different matter that Harda’s mind finally appeared to be interested in the politics of Uttarakhand.
Harish Rawat, who has completed 74 years of age after returning from Delhi, is not letting go of any opportunity to lash out against the BJP government in Uttarakhand. His activism is leading the Congress not only during the day, but also in the form of dharnas and torch marches at night.
Although, be it Haridwar or Dehradan, he has kept all his programs separate from the state organization. His affection for state politics is more than his activism at the central level in Congress. This attitude of his has also created panic among his rivals within the party.
Harish Rawat was seen as a follower of CM Dhami and former CM Trivendra:
Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat heated up the political atmosphere of the state on Friday. All this happened due to Rawat sharing different photos of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on the internet media.
In the photo shared by Rawat of Chief Minister Dhami, he is seen tying the shoelaces of a small child in a program. The former chief minister appreciated the photo and termed it as the photo of the month. On the other hand, Harish Rawat met former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat after getting relief in a case from the Supreme Court.
By tweeting this photo, he also commented ‘Satyamev Jayate’ along with congratulations. This episode of the court has also come to the fore in the form of internal tussle of the BJP in the past. It is believed that Harda quipped on this in his own style.
