Prediction unnecessary until report on Joshimath: Bhatt
BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt has asked all political parties and social parties to refrain from predictions and negative comments regarding Joshimath till the final report comes.
He said that everyone is committed to solving the problems of local residents and landslides in Joshimath city. In such a situation, unnecessary discussion like the crisis on the existence of the city can be harmful for the image of the tourism region. He has also appealed to all parties to come forward to help the affected.
In a statement on Sunday, the BJP state president said that ever since the landslide disaster came to the fore, the administrative system under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been working on a war footing on two fronts. The government has given financial assistance for the immediate help of the affected. At the same time, the expert agencies of the country are conducting a thorough survey in the affected areas.

He said that at present one-fourth of the city is affected by landslides. An image is being created that the existence of Joshimath is going to end. Such sharing of information is causing confusion among not only the affected but also citizens across the country.

He said that as soon as the conclusion of the joint report of the expert agencies would come out, the state government would start solving it without losing time. He urged all political parties to come forward to help the affected but not to spread fear among the tourists visiting the mountains through their reaction.
