GMVN’s resort and boating center in Asan Wetland, the country’s first conservation reserve and Uttarakhand’s first Ramsar site, is ready to welcome the guests arriving for the two-day global investor conference starting from December 8 in the capital Dehradun. It is being told that after the conference, the guests will reach GMVN’s Asan Resort Center and Boating Center to enjoy the natural beauty and for bird watching and boating. To ensure that there is no shortage in welcoming the guests, Tourism Department officials inspected the resort center on Wednesday.
Guests will be taken on a tour of Asan Wetland
After the investor conference, there is a plan to take the guests on a tour of Asan Wetland, the first Ramsar site of Uttarakhand. Asan Wetland is the country’s first conservation reserve. These days thousands of foreign birds have come to the wetland lake. Birds from the higher Himalayan regions also migrate here. It is very exciting to see exotic birds frolicking in the lake full of natural beauty and enjoy the paddle boat.

On Wednesday, Assistant General Manager Tourism SPS Rawat inspected the arrangements at the centre. He said that to oversee the arrangements, Regional Manager of Tourism Department, Uttarkashi, Virendra Singh Gusain and Chamoli Regional Manager Deepak Rawat have also been called to the boating centre.
Guests will enjoy boating and bird watching
Manager of Asan Resort Center, Girvir Singh Rawat said that necessary arrangements have been made for boating and bird watching at the center for the guests of the Global Investors Conference. Binoculars have been arranged for bird watching, which will be helpful in observing the beauty of the lake and birds from the tower built at the centre. Apart from this, if they wish, boating will also be provided to the guests. At present there are 12 boats here.
Guests will be able to taste mountain cuisine
Preparations are being made through the Tourism Department to serve mountain cuisine to the guests at the resort center of GMVN. Assistant General Manager Tourism SPS Rawat said that till now no guidelines have been received regarding food for the guests. If this happens, the department will serve Pahari cuisine to the guests.
