Sunshine and clouds are playing hide and seek throughout the day in Doon. However, dense clouds camped in the evening and chances of rain remain. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of dense clouds in Doon today and heavy to very heavy rain at some places. Showers may occur in the surrounding areas. Clouds are hovering from the mountains to the plains in Uttarakhand. Light to moderate rainfall was also recorded at some places. However, sunshine and clouds were playing hide and seek throughout the day in Doon. Chances of rain remained till late evening as well. Due to cloudiness, the temperature remained below normal in most areas.

According to the Meteorological Center, heavy to very heavy rain may occur at some places in Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat and Bageshwar today. An orange alert has been issued regarding this. There is a possibility of lightning at some places. There may be showers accompanied by thunder and lightning in other districts of the state also.
