The shortage of teachers in the primary schools of the state will be removed soon. The state government is trying to appoint 1090 primary teachers in primary schools by September 10. Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the government is going to make 100 percent appointments on the vacant posts of lecturer and LT soon. The special thing is that whatever new appointments will be made, those teachers will have to serve in the mountainous areas for the first five years.
The issue of shortage of teachers was raised in the House
On Thursday, under Rule 58 in the House, Dharchula MLA Harish Dhami raised the issue of shortage of teachers in the state. He said that after the transfer policy of the state, teachers have been transferred from the mountainous schools, but their replacements have not yet come. Due to this, the work of teaching in schools has been badly affected. He said that the teachers who have access are stuck in the plains only. MLA Khushal Singh Adhikari raised the issue of shortage of LT teachers and lecturers.
MLAs Manoj Tiwari, Gopal Singh Rana, Anupama Rawat and Lakhpat Butola raised the issue of shortage of teachers in the state, poor condition of schools and shortage of headmasters and principals. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that the poor education system is causing migration. The Education Minister, while presenting the government’s side, said that a lot of work is still to be done to improve the education system. Presenting the figures, he said that lecturer posts are being filled continuously. Recruitment is being done for the post of guest lecturer. Recruitment examination for 613 regular posts of lecturer is to be held in September. After their recruitment, their shortage will be removed.
He said that 3555 posts of LT are lying vacant. Guest faculty is being appointed on 1300 of these posts. More than 1100 posts of principals are lying vacant. These posts are vacant for a long time. It has been decided to recruit them directly. He said that the teachers’ organizations have been told that if they withdraw the case from the court, they will be promoted 100 percent. However, due to various reasons, they have not withdrawn the case from the court. He said that the state government will provide complete furniture in primary and secondary schools.
10 children from each development block will be taken on educational tours
The Education Minister said that the government will now take 10-10 top children from each development block on educational tours. These children will be taken on a tour of various places in the state and the country. After the reply of the Education Minister, the bench rejected the information.
