CPI-ML General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya asked whether we no longer have any signal or security system in the Railways? Will such incidents become common in the country now? RJD said that the Railway Minister should resign from his post. CPI MP Binay Biswam said that the government only focused on luxury trains. Trains and tracks of common people are neglected. Mamta Banerjee expressed apprehension of conspiracy: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee described the train accident as the biggest rail accident of the 21st century. Suspecting some conspiracy behind the accident, he demanded an inquiry into it. Mamta said that if the train had an anti-collision device i.e. anti-collision device, then this accident would not have happened.
